Find the picture, one square at a time

Fill in squares and uncover a picture. Two number clues show you where to start.

Four squares in a row. The first and last squares are colored. Fold the row in half, and those two squares meet.

In Foldixel, you fill in squares to uncover a hidden picture. Two number clues help you choose which squares to fill.

Let's try a small example together.

1. Count the colored squares

The first number tells you how many squares to fill in a row. If it says 2, fill exactly two squares. Leave the others empty.

But which two squares? The next clue helps you work that out.

2. Imagine folding the row in half

Imagine four squares in a row. Color the first square and the last square.

Now imagine folding the row in the middle, like a piece of paper. The two colored ends meet. That makes one pair.

The second number tells you how many pairs of colored squares must meet when you fold the row.

Four squares with the two ends colored. Fold in the middle, and the colored ends meet: 2 colored squares, 1 pair.

This drawing shows 2 colored squares and 1 pair. The dotted line is where you imagine folding.

Check the clues across the board and down the board. Every row and every column must match its numbers.

You don't need to guess the picture. Follow the clues, one square at a time.

Try it for yourself

There are 10 puzzles in the free web demo. You don't need to install anything or make an account.

If you get stuck, ask for a hint. If you want to change a move, use undo.

The last four puzzles each give you a piece of a bigger picture. Finish all four to see it come together.
