01 / DISCOVER THE FOLD

A new clue appears when you think about the fold

When two distant cells meet, a new clue appears.

Every cell is either filled (■) or marked with an X (×). Each row and column gives you two key pieces of information:

Filled cells
The total number of cells that must be filled in that line.
Overlapping pairs
The number of pairs where both cells are filled when the line is folded in half.

The first number counts filled cells. The underlined second number counts overlapping pairs.

One line, two clues
3 filled cells1 overlapping pair

Pair the cells from each end, then fold them together.

Underlined numbers count pairs with both cells filled.

While playing, select a row or column’s numbers to see its pairs.

02 / REVEAL THE PICTURE

Where there were numbers, a little picture.

Follow the clues, one cell at a time, and scattered pieces become a picture. Find that final cell and discover the small reward waiting beyond the grid.

Select ‘Reveal the picture’ in the preview.

Some puzzles also include fixed clues, shown with small flags, whose filled or empty states are already known. They provide a starting point for learning the rules or solving more difficult boards.

Foldixel vs. Nonograms

Both are logic puzzles that reveal a hidden picture, but the clues work differently.

For example, in a row of four cells, folding pairs 1 with 4 and 2 with 3. Use those relationships and the given numbers to deduce which cells to fill.

The defining question in Foldixel is: “If I fold this row, which two cells meet?”

Where is my progress saved?
Each puzzle’s progress is saved automatically in this browser, so you can switch puzzles and return where you left off. Picture pieces you have completed stay collected when you replay a puzzle. Progress does not sync with other devices, browsers, or the full game, and clearing your browser data removes it. If your browser blocks storage, you can still play for the current visit.
